05th December 2017, Germany: The leadership team at qordata announced the launch of qatalyst, a comprehensive software solution which enables medical drug and device companies across the EU to become GDPR compliant.
The launch of qatalyst is qordata’s natural progression in the realm of custom data-centric solutions for members of the Life Sciences Industry. Its clientele already enjoys superior data analytics solutions with a holistic pharma-compliance solution suite, as well as physician engagement and consent management solutions in the European Union.
With qatalyst, qordata will be assisting pharmaceutical companies in building and sustaining data management structures within the scope of the new regulation. Its feature set includes protection of personal data of internal and external stakeholders, and provides a system for the complete management of all rights listed in the GDPR.
“EU-based organizations have been indicating a growing emphasis on data protection, and the need to safeguard personal data. They have been very concerned about the risks arising from structures that do not do enough to prevent data breach,” said Mohammad Ovais, Founder and CEO of qordata.
“Our product—qatalyst—forms a perfect equilibrium between customer needs, our skillset and resources” said Salman Kasbati, COO qordata and focal person leading qatalyst’s Product Development and Ideation. “We are in an ideal place to understand what the European pharma-industry needs right now, and how it can be fully equipped to meet the 25th May deadline.”
Dr. Kristin Buske, Principal Consultant at qordata, and lead presenter at the Life Sciences GDPR Bootcamp, said, “We believed this is a need we can easily serve, given our longstanding experience in data management solutions that include software, consulting and services, and also because of our strong focus on the global medical drug and device industry.”
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will come into full effect on 25th May 2018. Companies managing personal data need to fully adhere to its stipulations, which have a strong focus on the data rights of natural persons. Members of the Life Sciences industry, in particular, are in critical need for robust data protection solutions, given the amount of personal data they hold as per business routine.
